Risograph printing is a three-layer printing technology first invented in Japan around the end of the 20th century. To create a complete printed paper, the worker puts ink from a lighter into the printing machine, and only the area with that color is printed. After that, the artwork is let dry. The process is repeated until a complete picture is obtained. Because the machine is monitored manually, arts printed with this technology often have “color noise”. However, it is thanks to this element that the prints possess an old-school beauty.
