You can use Chilica hot sauce to make sweet and sour fish sauce, perfect for dipping many dishes.
Ingredients:
- Fish sauce
- Warm water
- Sugar
- Chilica chili sauce
- Lime juice
- (Optional) minced garlic and minced shallots
Instructions:
- Dissolve sugar in warm water and stir until it's fully dissolved. If you prefer a thicker sweet and sour sauce, you can use hotter water and add more sugar.
- Add fish sauce to the sugar water and squeeze in the lime juice, adjusting the ratio to your taste.
- Add Chilica chili sauce, minced garlic, and minced shallots.
That's it! Your sweet and sour fish sauce is ready. You can use it as a dip for various dishes like boiled vegetables, grilled fish, or as a dressing for salads, and more.

Chilica is a Vietnamese brand that manufactures minced chili seasoning, and chili sauce from fresh ingredients and spices that are clean and safe for the consumers.
The founder and director Nguyễn Thanh Hiền, first started off by establishing Tomcare Biological Technology Limited Company. He soon realised choosing chili sauce as a main product was a challenging and risky decision as there were over 30 chili sauce brands on the market at that time.
