Simple Steps to Make a DIY Birthday Card for Girlfriend with a 3D Pop-up Design

Step 1: Creating the Pop-up Structure

Cut and Prepare the Paper

- Take an A4 white sheet and trim 2cm from each side to get a 19cm x 27cm piece.

- Fold it in half along the shorter edge, forming a birthday card for your girlfriend measuring 19cm x 13.5cm when folded.

 

Creating the First Cake Tier

- On the center fold, measure 3cm from each side and mark a point 4cm from the bottom.

- Cut two vertical lines, each 4cm long, from the marked 4cm point upward.

 Creating the Second Cake Tier

- On the first pop-up tier, measure 3cm from each side and mark a point 3cm from its base.

- Cut two vertical lines, each 3cm long, only on the front side (leave the back uncut).

 Creating the Third Cake Tier
