Bánh pía or peeling flakes pastry is one of the specialty foods in Soc Trang, Vietnam. It’s normally filled with mung bean and salted egg yolk.
Que Homemade cooks everything from scratch by usings the heirloom recipe that has been passed down for 80 years in Soc Trang. Their bánh pía has a thin rolled crust, filled with homemade mung beans and caramelized lard. These deviations make it more creamy but not crumbly.
