The Đắk Hà region boasts a mild climate and fertile red basalt soil, producing high-quality Robusta beans with a strong, robust flavor. When processed using the honey method, the outer layer of the coffee cherry is retained during drying, allowing some of the natural sugars in the cherry to infuse into the bean, resulting in a sweeter and richer flavor compared to traditional dry processing methods.
As a result, Robusta coffee beans from Đắk Hà processed with the honey method often have a balanced flavor profile, combining the characteristic bitterness of Robusta with a sweet, multi-layered taste.
