1. Before you light your candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This will help the flame burn brighter, reduce smoke, and prevent soot from building up on the wick or the sides of the jar
2. The first time you burn your candle, let it burn for 2-3 hours until the entire surface of the wax is melted. This will help prevent tunneling (a hole forming in the center of the wax).
3. For future burns, make sure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container. This will help the fragrance spread evenly.
4. To put out your candle, use a lid or a candle snuffer instead of blowing it out. This will prevent smoke and keep your candle burning safely.
