Benjamin Benford is an artist from the UK with a special love for Vietnamese landscapes and history. His artworks manipulate the beauty of nature, life, and people of Vietnam through truthfully, sharp lines but no less soft. Ben uses black ink fine-liner pens to create pictures on paper. This helps to illustrate the bright and dark areas clearly and uniquely.
The picture "Hoi An Alleyway" was the turning point that motivated Ben to found Bens Black Line Art. After some of his friends saw the drawing, they encouraged him and suggested that he do something instead of just keeping the pictures in his sketchbook. Therefore, Ben started drawing more, became known by many people, and received a lot of good feedback. Since then, Bens Black Line Art was born.
At Bens Black Line Art, you can find unique postcards printed from Ben's hand-drawn works. The postcards have only two pieces of black and white but are attractive and have a personal impression.
The highlight of Ben's artworks lies in the detail and meticulousness. The different thin and bold strokes are skillfully combined, clearly and realistically depicting the beautiful scenery of nature, landmarks, and Vietnamese life.
