The fabric are dyed/brocaded handcraftedly and purchased from people of ethnic groups at different times. Therefore, pattern of each product may slightly differ.
Growing linen tree, then harvesting and turning it into fabric is a traditional profession that plays an important role among the Hmong people in Vietnam. Women good at making these beeswax Batik fabric are highly appreciated by the community. Therefore, young girls, at the age of around 15, start to get lessons from their mother or grandmother on how to plant the tree, harvest it, then weave it into a cloth. The cloth is then drawn on with hot beeswax, then dyed with indigo. Through all those processes, one can clearly see how much effort and enthusiasm is put into this fabric.
