Risograph printing is a three-layer printing technology first invented in Japan at around the end of the 20th century. To create a complete printed paper, the worker puts ink of a lighter into the printing machine and only the area with that color is printed. After that, the paper is let dry. The process is repeated until a complete picture is obtained. Because the machine is monitored manually, arts printed with this technology often have “color noise”. However, it is thanks to this element that the prints possess an old-school beauty.
