Chus note
CHUS suggests you how to make delicious and flavorful coffee in Vietnamese phin:
Brewing coffee is not difficult, but in making a cup of coffee with strong flavors, you need a method. The following instructions will help you make the flavorful coffee in Vietnamese phin:
1. Notes before brewing:
- Before brewing coffee, you need to make sure the filter and cup are clean and dry;
- You should use purified water. The purer the water, the better your coffee cup will be.
- Use water to boil at a temperature between 95 and 100 degrees C.
2. Coffee brewing steps:
- Step 1: Use boiling water and rinse it through the coffee filter to ensure that it is clean. This action also makes the coffee expand evenly and reduces heat absorption when brewing coffee.
- Step 2: Add 3 teaspoons of coffee powder to the filter (about 25 grams) and shake well;
- Step 3: Put the phin in the cup, pour it slowly and evenly over the surface of the filter, about 30ml of boiling water for the coffee to expand evenly;
- Step 4: After 2-3 minutes, when the coffee has absorbed all the water and the coffee powder is equally hatched, compress the lid (you can compress the lid before adding water at step 3) and continue pouring about 50ml of boiling water and wait.
- Step 5: After 1 minute, the coffee will start to drip down the glass, wait until the process is almost done, press the lid tightly to extract all the remaining coffee.
As a result, you get a fine cup of coffee. You can add sugar or milk, ice (depending on your preference), and stir well.

About MISS EDE
Miss Ede was founded in 2019 in Buon Ma Thuot with the mission to spread the word of Vietnam’s unique culture and help local people in the process. This brand is also a pioneer enterprise nationwide in the supply of premium Coffee and Chocolate products in Vietnam.
As a person who accumulated many years of experience in agriculture for a multidisciplinary American corporation, Huu recognized the difficulties of the people of the Central Highlands as well as the commercial potential of Cocoa from the highlands. Mr. Huu along with Mr. Ngoc (a local continuing the family's tradition of making cocoa and butter) have created a line of high-quality chocolate made entirely from Cocoa using sustainable methods of farming.
Ede is one of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam living in the Central and Central Highlands regions. Ede families are still matriarchal - the head of the family is always a woman and the child takes the mother's surname. This is the reason why the image of a beautiful girl wearing a traditional brocade dress was chosen by Miss Ede to represent the brand.
