Gióng 4 is blended from two coffee beans in different processing methods. Perhaps that's why the taste of Giong 4 is familiar yet still full of surprises.
The two coffee beans used are Yellow Bourbon Arabica and Catimor. Because this is a blend of light-roasted and medium-roasted coffee, its flavor is balanced between mild sour and a bit of earthy warmth like berries and ginger. This blend will soothe the mind of the drinker.
Catimor is a cross between Timor coffee and Caturra coffee. It was created in Portugal in 1959. It grows and produces fruit very quickly and has very high yields. In Vietnam, the Catimor coffee variety is being grown quite popularly in most areas such as Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Quang Tri, Nghe An, and Son La.
Meanwhile, the Bourbon variety is a well-known cultivar of C. arabica that originated on Île Bourbon – an Island east of Madagascar. It is believed that the Yellow varietal is a cross between Bourbon and Yellow Typica. Yellow Bourbon ripe is yellow and grows best at an altitude of 1,100m - 2,000m above sea level. In Vietnam, this coffee variety is grown most in Da Lat.
1. How to use:
Suitable for Vietnamese phin, pour over, siphon, rackets, etc. The coffee will taste best when made from V60, Aeropress, French Press or coffee machine
2. Preservation:
Store coffee in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. It is recommended to use up within 3 months from opening the bag to preserve its taste
