With some genuine leather products, there might still be a lingering natural cow smell from being newly made. If you don't prefer this natural scent, there are a few ways to reduce it, such as the following:
1. Ventilation: Place the items on a well-ventilated balcony for about two weeks.
2. Newspapers: For items with inner space, like shoes or bags, fill them with old newspapers, wrap them with newspapers, and place them in a box filled with newspapers for around 2 days. Newspapers should absorb the smell.
3. Cleaning: 3 ways:
- Clean the leather with a mild soap and water solution, then dry it thoroughly.
