Side info and notes about Cornmint (Mentha Arvensis):
- Cornmint is also called Wild mint, Field mint. Its menthol content is 60%, with Peppermint being around 35%. Therefore, its taste and smell is more pungent and spicy.
- In low temperatures, menthol crystal may appear because of its high content. This is normal and the crystals will liquefy at room temperature or when dissolved into warm water.
- Do not use Mentha Arvensis essential oil when you are on anticoagulant medications.
- Do not use it for children under 6 years old.
1. Instructions:
- Steambath for colds: Drop 3-5 drops of essential oil into a hot water bowl, use a large towel to cover your head and breathe in the steams.
- Room deodorizer: Drop 3-5 drops (depending on the room size) of essential oils into an essential oil diffuser. The scent can also help repel insects.
- Air purification, insect repellent for closets: Drop 2-3 drops of essential oils onto a small piece of cloth, roll it up and leave it in the closet to keep a nice scent on the clothes. Remember not to drop essential oil directly on clothes.
2. Caution:
- Do not let essential oils contact the skin.
- Do not drink essential oils.
- Pregnant women and children under 6 years old should not use this essential oil.
- Do not let the essential oil make contact with open wounds or the eye area. If it comes in contact with eyes, dilute it with a carrier oil (coconut oil, peanut oil, calophyllum oil,...) then rinse well with clean water.
- Store in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. Close the lid tightly after use.
