Noni fruit has been used since ancient times by Southeast Asians and Polynesians to relieve pain, fight infections, and prevent constipation. Fresh noni fruit and noni juice have a characteristic, slightly bitter taste. This fruit contains many antioxidants, so it has the ability to strengthen the immune system, fight inflammation, protect cells from free radicals, and thereby reduce the risk of cancer.
However, because of its high medicinal properties, noni is not suitable for everyone. People with liver disease, who are taking medication, or who have weak stomachs should consult their doctor before consuming products from noni.
